The Band Boosters are critical to the success of the LCHS Band program. If you are a parent of a student in the band, we need you to participate. Many hands make light work!
Communication
We use Remind to communicate, so please sign up. To join the Railer Boosters Remind Group, text @railerboos to 81010. You can also install the Remind app if you choose. Please let us know if you have any questions or problems getting set up.
Meetings
Booster meetings are on the first Tuesday of each month at 6 pm in the music room unless otherwise announced. The entrance near the circle drive by the loading dock should be manned on meeting evenings until a few minutes after 6 pm. If you will be late, please contact us so we can let you in! Meeting agendas and minutes are on the Booster Meetings page and in each event (see below).
So what do the boosters do anyway?
Excellent question, I’m glad you asked. The band boosters make most of the band activities possible by assisting with planning for fundraisers, helping get the drum major’s stand on and off the field at home football game half-time shows and competitions, arranging for transport of the trailer containing instruments/drum major stand/flags/uniforms/etc. for out of town competition and parades, providing snacks and water after field performances and parades, manning the concession stand for home basketball games, and in general, providing manpower and assistance however the need arises to make the band experience the best possible for the students.
